Breakup Central!

So this week in Hollywood couples were breaking up left and right! Courntey Cox and David Arquette after 11 years and Christina Aguilera and her ex hubby after 5 years have all just filled for divorce. So, I've decided to have these two SINGLE ladies the focus of my best and worst dressed today.

So Courtney Cox has been around for a long time, mostly known for her role in friends and and now in Cougar Town. So at the Golden Globes Miss Cox made some very good choices and some...not so good choices.

Courtney Cox's best dressed ever was a Victoria Beckham Corseted Crepe Gown. The sleek gown fitted perfectly and I love the sequence in the middle. Its very age appropriate and she looks gorgous!
But then there was another time she went to the Golden Globes, and well.. didn't look so golden.
This dress just isn't flattering, but to be honest, it was super hard to find Courtney Cox not looking phenominal!

But with Christina Aguilera, it wasn't such a struggle...

So for X-Tina her Versace dress at the VMA's a few years back was AMAZING! It could've been better without the huge dimond necklace, since the dress it is sparkling enough but she looks fantastic anyway!
But the dress that I first thought of when I decided to put Christina on this blog entry was the red dress that she wore during her performance at the VMA's back in 2006. It was so beautiful and still till this day I can't forget the moment I saw her in it.

But with Christina...there was A LOT of worst dress moment to choose from. So instead of describing them in words, I'm going to describe them in the expressions I made when I saw them..

HUH?
(did she get dressed in the dark?)

UMMMM....
(she looks like she just stepped out of the Rocky Horror Picture Show)
EWWW
(I can almost see her lady parts...)
HOLY *************************!
(my mom doesn't wear that, thank God!)

So there you have it! The best and worst dressed moments of Hollywood's new Single Ladies!

Young Starletts Do Good at the Young Hollywood Party

Brittnay Snow wasn't the only one doing good at this years 8th Annual Young Hollywood Party, some of  Hollywoods young stars were making good choices with thier wardrobe. At the party Brittnay Snow was making a stand against bullying in schools so GO BRITTNAY!!!!
But back to the fashion. We had the Yay!, the Ehh and the Waahh!!! (In Snooki language) at the Young Hollywood Party. So to start off the five best dressed of the night were Emma Roberts in Catherine Malendrino, Nikki Reed in Michael Kors, Lily Collins in Michael Kors, Victoria Justice in Michael Kors and Ashley Hinshaw.

Emma Roberts looks amazing in the neutral blue Catherine Malendrino dress she wore. She really took a risk with the plunging neck, but she pulled it off without looking..well.. skanky. I love the beautiful drapeing of the dress and she really looks grown up! But the last thing that tied the look together was the bun in the back. I love how it's an everyday look that she did with her hair, because I do that look all the time. Good job Emma!
Michael Kors was the man of the night and everyone who wore his clothes pulled it off perfectly! Nikki Reed was in this months issue of Teen Vogue, with the man himself and the issue talked about the dress she was going to choose. The dress was a gorgous gold dress that made Nikki shine on the red carpet. Another star who wore Michael Kors was Lily Collins. Her dress was a bright pink dress that made me say "WOW" the second I saw it. She really made a statment with that dress. I also love the neutral purse and heels that she paired with it. The look was flawless! Victoria Justice also wore MK and looked very grown up! This girl always looks great in whatever she wears. The accessories were perfect and I loved the red lip.

Lastly I thought Ashley Hinshaw looked great in her dress. The blue is perfect for her skin tone and blonde hair. Good job!
And then there were the bad...
My top 5 worst dressed are: Raven-Symone in Tramando, Sarah Hyland in an Ani One Shoulder Dress, Hayley Kiyoko, Jennette McCurdy and Alexa Chung.

I love Raven-Symone but her dress looks so uncomfortable! It honestly looks like armor and shes going off to battle. Sorry Ray but this was a miss..
Sarah Hyland just didn't pull off this one. The one shoulder is just..strange. On this weeks fashion police on E! they said she looked way to old and I completely agree. Yes, she's 19 but this dress was ment for a 25 year old.
What up with the fannypack Hayley Kiyoko? ... Thats all I have to say..
Jennette McCurdy defines the words "too much". The skirt with leggings..NO!
Lastly, Alexa Chung. I hate bashing her too because she usually has a good style but the tied up shirt with the lace skirt just don't go together...Sorry!

Now here are the girls who are just in the middle

Brittnay Snow in Michael Kors looks very nice and age apropriate. Shailene Woodley looks nice but too safe. It's something I'd wear to a tea party, not a HOLLYWOOD PARTY! Another looked that I actually really liked was Daveigh Chase's. It was chic! Amanda Crew in Michael Kors looked great in the interesting pattern. LOVE IT! Now if I don't say this, it'll bug me forever but Kay Panabaker #1 played it wayy to safe. #2 if you don't have a big bust, then don't wear dresses with a rounded neck line, because you'll look flat chested. And #3 I'm not liking the red lip on her..

So, there were some good choices and bad choices at the Young Hollywood Party in LA but that's what makes fashion fun!!!

Dimonds at Tiffany's

So to get to know me better I'd like to share my favorite style icons of all time. My first is Audrey Hepburn.

Audrey Hepburn is the definition of style. You may know her from Breakfast at Tiffany's where she played Holly Golightly, the stylish escort in the 60's. Miss Hepburn was a huge fan of Givenchy who created the iconic black cocktail dress that she wears in the first scene of the movie.

My other style icon is the one and only Marilyn Monroe. Who doesn't know the iconic scene with the white William Travilla dress that she wore in The Seven Year Itch. But my favorite dress Marilyn ever wore was the pink dress she wore in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. I love the over the top gown that totally went along with the diamond hungry character she played.

These two women are the definition of old Hollywood glamour and fashion. These looks are timeless and will always be remembered.
